[sane-devel] Formulardaten
Hi, On 2007-08-31 09:11, Julian Stacey wrote: As robots attack the sane web page form that dumps on list, seen Message-id: tincas-30763098/-20070831T050235-xbhgzFMV at infong100.kundenserver.de I suggest whoever maintains that form page, should add a trick similar to (but please not the same as) I use on my ski booking web form here http://www.berklix.org/ski/form.html That will prevent attack robots, leave it only open to human abuse. The form is provided by my web provider. Unfortunately I can't add any conditions before sending the mail. If this is not acceptable, I'd appreciate if somebody else could come up with a new form, install it on his or the SANE website and change all links to the new form. Bye, Henning
[sane-devel] epson cx7000f
I a trying to get an epson CX7000F all-in-one working with sane. I have the printer working on gutenprint, the the scanner is still not working. sane-find-scanner tells me the scanner is there with vendor=0x04b8 product=0x0831, lsusb tells me Bus 004 Device 010: ID 04b8:0831 Seiko Epson Corp. scanimage -L cannot find the scanner. I have tried adding: usb 0x04b8 0x0831 to /etc/sane.d/epson.conf ATTR{idVendor}==04b8, ATTR{idProduct}==0831, SYMLINK+=scanner-%k to /etc/udev/rules.d/60-libsane.rules, but scanimage still does not see the scanner. Should I try the plustek backend, perhaps ? That worked with my old epson 1260. I am using sane-backends 1.0.18-15 on a fedora 7 system. carl
[sane-devel] Scanning result in a blank page
Hi, When I try to scan with scanimage the page is blank. I have: Ubuntu Fesity Fawn 7.04 scanimage (sane-backends) 1.0.18; backend version 1.0.18 HP Scanjet 4370 The scanner works with Xsane and HPs application in Windows, but I prefer scanimage since I got a script so I can scan to pdf, remove the white/grey area around the paper and scan several pages to one pdf-document. Is there any hope in solving this? Thanks in advance! Zambezi @ Freenode (I'm also in #sane - not insane. ;-))
[sane-devel] Will the CanonScan 3000 Series be supported?
Hello! I own a CanonScan 3000. I have to scan multiple pictures a month and I wanted to do this under linux. But the scanner isn't currently supported by SANE. Now I would like to know, if the scanner is planned to be supported and when this may be. If you need help in testing, I will do my best. I subscribed to the sane-commit mailing list and I'm waiting for the updates on sane-backends. Currently it doesnt compile because of missing rule for target lexmark_low. Best Regards Christian
