[sane-devel] Orientation support
Hi Stef, Thank you for the reply. Another question, does SANE support original size? I mean setting of page size. -Original Message- From: Stef [mailto:stef@free.fr] Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2014 1:33 PM To: Ariel Ramonito Edera; sane-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org Subject: Re: [sane-devel] Orientation support On 05/03/2014 07:47, Ariel Ramonito Edera wrote: Hi, I would like to ask if sane-backend 1.0.21 supports orientation setting for SANE? [sane-devel] Image Compression doesn't support in SANE protocal
Hi All, Do you have any update on this thread? This is way back 2006, perhaps it is now supported. It's about adding frame type for JPEG or other compressed format. http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/sane-devel/2006-August/017606.html Best Regards, Ariel IMPORTANT NOTICE: This e-mail and its attachments may be confidential and are intended solely for the use of the individual to whom it is addressed. There has been little improvement of this situation. There are some commented out frame types for jpeg and ir in the source, and some backends will use them if they are uncommented. But, since they are not part of the sane standard, most front programs will not handle them. allan On Fri, Mar 14, 2014 at 2:35 AM, Ariel Ramonito Edera ArielRamonito.Edera at ddp.kyocera.com wrote: Hi All, Do you have any update on this thread? [sane-devel] Orientation support
Several backends support the page-width and page-height parameters to set the paper size, independent of the image size params. allan On Fri, Mar 14, 2014 at 1:45 AM, Ariel Ramonito Edera ArielRamonito.Edera at ddp.kyocera.com wrote: Hi Stef, Thank you for the reply. [sane-devel] Fixing PIXMA MX360/370 ADF empty bug
Hi Matthias, Please read this thread: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/sane-devel/2014-March/032138.html. Cheers, Rolf Am 12.03.2014 21:11, schrieb Matthias Peter Walther: Hello, I'm new to this, but I'm gonna try my luck. I own a Canaon MX375 all-in-one. The PIXMA-backend has this annoying adf-empty-bug. Is there any information I could provice to help to fix this? The binary driver from canon.uk works with their gui-frontend only and I'd like to get it working on a headless system. Thanks for any comments. Bye Matthias Walther

Hello, for me most common frontends are the ones that pop up in the mailing list: - scanimage - xsane - scanadf - simplescan I think that checking default frontend installed by various linux distributions will also give an idea of the most commonly used frontends.
