hi Henning, Sorry for my last post. Here is the SANE_DEBUG_HP3900=255 scanimage -L out put. [root@localhost ~]# SANE_DEBUG_HP3900=255 scanimage -L No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). After hotplug my HP scanjet 4070 scanner ,i typed xsane on my terminal,it is showing a window with message No Devices avilable. And more i ddn't get any new entry /dev. (like sdg.../dev/scanner).
