THANKING YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP.
On my cell phone I use Mxit and everything there is okay. On my computer I started to use Pidgin and what a great program. BUT my computer has recently been upgraded and my Pidgin-everything had been erased. So I again downloaded Pidgin from the internet but now it doesn't seem so recognize me, that is on my PC. I cannot see my buddy list and it keeps telling me my username has not been registered, I should register first. Please and thank you for your patience with me - I am not too technologically-clued up but I am not too stupid either. is there something I do wrong? Please, please, please help me?! Version 2.6.3 is out (Was: how to track new releases?)
Le'mme do it: Pidgin version 2.6.3 is out. The Windows build is not available yet. (maybe that's why there was no official announce?) I think the deal is that with the most recent updates, they've either done away with it or we cannot figure out how to use it. Perhaps we could create an annou...@pidgin.im. Getting pinged by unknown users
Why can't you code this product to stop the unwanted pings from broadcasts. I keep getting stuff that I don't want to answer. This is a good product it just needs to be improved. Jeff Rooke wrote: Why can’t you code this product to stop the unwanted pings from broadcasts. I keep getting stuff that I don’t want to answer. This is a good product it just needs to be improved. Are you sure this is not a function of the instant messaging service itself? You are welcome to provide code updates to Pidgin to add this function. However, for someone else to do this, as well as a desire to do it, they will need to know which instant messaging service you are using and how you recognize the sort of message that you are complaining about, using only machine methods. Looking at your job title, it shouldn't be difficult for you to provide this information, including the algorithm to use. -- David Woolley Emails are not formal business letters, whatever businesses may want.
