2.10.7 Win7 GTK Issue
I am running Win7 Pro 64bit and just upgraded to Pidgin 2.10.7 and get an error that libatk-1.0.0.dll is missing, preventing Pidgin from starting. Installler error - SHA1 ? RE: Pidgin 2.10.7 released
Hi! When installing pidgin-2.10.7.exe on WinXP Pro SP3, shortly after it downloads GTK, I get an error dialog saying: --- Pidgin 2.10.7 Setup --- Installer corrupted: invalid opcode --- OK --- The main dialog shows: Downloading GTK+ Runtime ... (https://pidgin.im/win32/download_redir.php?version=2.10.7gtk_version=2.16.6.1dl_pkg=gtk) Could not load: C:\DOCUME~1\stein\LOCALS~1\Temp\nsw1CEC.tmp\SHA1Plugin.dll SHA1Sum calculation error: C:\DOCUME~1\stein\LOCALS~1\Temp\nsw1CEC.tmp\gtk.zip The MD5sum of my pidgin-2.10.7.exe file is 24e2fdf4b1bf2b83f6694bdeaceec319 Please advise. I think a few other people are reporting the same problem, but I'd like to verify that it is indeed the same problem. I'm not sure what's up with the C:\DOCUME~1\stein\LOCALS~1\Temp\nsw1CEC.tmp\SHA1Plugin.dll message - it's possible it's caused by some security settings on your machine. There appear to be transient issues downloading the GTK+ Runtime from the sourceforge servers. The error was on startup of Pidgin. gnu aspell
Hey guys, Been using Pidgin for years, keep up the good work. I have a minor issue that I wanted to make sure you are aware of. The last several versions, the installer is unable to download gnu aspell for USA English, I believe it is linked to an expired hyperlink for the aspell download. I realize I can download and setup aspell manually, it would still be nice to see this fixed in future installers. I have not confirmed if it's working for other languages.
