group buddies

2014-06-27 Thread Nicole Schwan
Hi,

Every time my coworker sends a group message, I get a new Buddy. I try to
delete them but they just show up every day. Is there a way I can get these
group IMs to not show up as a separate group and separate buddy? See pic:

 Good Morning,

If you support Chatter IM? Their web version doesn’t always get noticed
when a message comes in and their desktop version is a pretty large memory
hog. We also use other IM products so having them all in one would be nice
but didn’t see Chatter listed.

Assuming you're talking about SalesForce Chatter, no that's not supported.

It also doesn't appear use any sort of standard protocol (e.g. XMPP) that
would allow it to work with Pidgin without separate explicit support.

This is not unusual if you are using an XMPP service.

When it happened to me I found that all I could do was to hide the
group created and ignore it.

Someone else may suggest a better fix.

Yahoo Connection Refused Win 7 Pidgin 2.10.6 AND 2.10.9

2014-06-27 Thread Paul Suliin
I am getting Unable to connect. Connection refused errors when attempting
to log in to Yahoo.

I am running Windows 7.

This is a new problem. Yesterday was fine.

I was running Pidgin 2.10.6, then upgraded to 2.10.9 hoping to fix the
problem. The problem continues.

This does not appear to be an account issue. The issue occurs on multiple
Yahoo accounts with Pidgin but does not happen with Yahoo's Web Messenger.
I am also able to log in to my email without a hitch.

Looks like a local firewall issue, either in your Win7 itself, or your
local red.
