[Bug 917386] Re: Unity panel doesn't fit with onboard hide button
There is no need to disable the snapshots PPA repository; the versioning scheme is chosen so that 0.97.0-0ubuntu1 superseeds 0.97.0~preview... Moreover, as David is interested into Onboard 0.97.0 for oneiric, I am considering putting revision 756 of trunk into the Snapshots PPA for oneiric. [Bug 931168] Re: brcm80211 Wifi driver : cannot connect to channels11
On this page : http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/brcm80211#Developer_information , at paragraph Regulatory Implementation for brcmsmac is written : This generation of chips contain additional regulatory support independent of the driver. The devices use a single worldwide regulatory domain, with channels 12-14 (2.4 GHz band) and channels 52-64 and 100-140 (5 GHz band) restricted to passive operation. Transmission on those channels is suppressed until appropriate other traffic is observed on those channels. Within the driver, we use the ficticious country code X2 to represent this worldwide regulatory domain. There is currently no interface to configure a different domain. The driver reads the SROM country code from the chip and hands it up to mac80211 as the regulatory hint, however this information is otherwise unused with the driver. If I understand correctly, it would mean that channels 12-14 would be restricted by the hardware itself? I suppose it does not prevent it to connect on wifis on these channels, as it works with another driver. Maybe it only means that the chipset can only do passive scanning, instead of active scanning? [Bug 933203] Re: Black Screen after update to kernel 3.0.0-16.28 Reboot
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.3 kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag(Only that one tag, please leave the other tags). This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. If this bug is fixed by the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream-KERNEL-VERSION'. For example, if kernel version 3.3-rc2 fixed the issue, the tag would be: 'kernel-fixed- upstream-v3.3-rc2'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as Confirmed. Thanks in advance. Re: [Bug 925513] Re: plymouth should not run in container
Quoting Michael Adam (ob...@samba.org): @Serge, I might have misready your statement about network config. I do add nettwork config (veth0, dev=virbr0, etc) manually. What do you mean by adding it manually? Have you added it to the /data/lxc/ubuntu1/config? If there is no 'lxc.network.link' entry there, then a new network namespace is not created, which is what you need You should jsut be able to cat ./ubuntu1-template.con /data/lxc/ubuntu1/config to get something that works. There is no /etc/lxc/lxc.conf in my system. Ah, right, that was introduced with precise. The reason I used a config file snipped for lxc-create was exactly to get this network virtualization layer into the container config. Right, it's just that you provided that lxc.conf to lxc-create. lxc-create copied that to where it wanted that path to go - which is /var/lib/lxc/ubuntu1/config. lxc-create doesn't look at the template arguments. It's certainly gross that lxc-create passes information to the templates over the same channel that users do. Might be worth talking with upstream about changing that for next cycle. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/925513 Title: plymouth should not run in container To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/925513/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 933286] Re: kernel BUG at /build/buildd/linux-3.2.0/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915_gem.c:3330!
