Marking Invalid for now because it seems to work, but may be dependent
on the hardware. If this is an issue with OEM again I will reopen.

[Bug 933557] [NEW] Cannot reduce the sidebar width with the specific ebook

2012-02-16 Thread l0co
Public bug reported:

With the specific ebook I have currently opened in the evince, I changed
the width of sidebar by drag and drop, and can't now reduce the width
back using the same method (only extending works, reducing - no).

This doesn't happen with different pdf/ebook I've been testing, just
with this specific one.

[Bug 925513] Re: plymouth should not run in container

2012-02-16 Thread Michael Adam
@Serge,

I might have misready your statement about network config.
I do add nettwork config (veth0, dev=virbr0, etc) manually.
There is no /etc/lxc/lxc.conf in my system.
The reason I used a config file snipped for lxc-create was
exactly to get this network virtualization layer into the container config.

Cheers - Michael

[Bug 917386] Re: Unity panel doesn't fit with onboard hide button

2012-02-16 Thread Francesco Fumanti
There is no need to disable the snapshots PPA repository; the versioning scheme
is chosen so that 0.97.0-0ubuntu1 superseeds 0.97.0~preview...
Moreover, as David is interested into Onboard 0.97.0 for oneiric, I am
considering putting revision 756 of trunk into the Snapshots PPA for oneiric.
This might help us decide whether to put Onboard 0.97.0 into the stable PPA for
oneiric.

I too got hit by this today which doing regular patching on Ubuntu 10.04
apt-get update || apt-get upgrade
No could not be selected, and luckily as in #35, selecting Yes did not have any

2012-02-16 Thread Robert Roth
Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Karmic reached EOL on April 30,
2011.
Please see this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

I've tried recreating this bug with Oneiric and was unable to, given the
information you've provided. Please either a) upgrade and test or b)
increase the verbosity of the steps to recreate it so we can try again.

Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

0.97.0 will be in any repo (regular/stable/snapshot) for oneiric.

I only have precise in a virtualbox machine in my PC. I only use it for

[Bug 931168] Re: brcm80211 Wifi driver : cannot connect to channels11

2012-02-16 Thread Mossroy
On this page :
http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/brcm80211#Developer_information
, at paragraph Regulatory Implementation for brcmsmac is written :

This generation of chips contain additional regulatory support
independent of the driver. The devices use a single worldwide regulatory
domain, with channels 12-14 (2.4 GHz band) and channels 52-64 and
100-140 (5 GHz band) restricted to passive operation. Transmission on
those channels is suppressed until appropriate other traffic is observed
on those channels. Within the driver, we use the ficticious country code
X2 to represent this worldwide regulatory domain. There is currently
no interface to configure a different domain. The driver reads the SROM
country code from the chip and hands it up to mac80211 as the regulatory
hint, however this information is otherwise unused with the driver.

If I understand correctly, it would mean that channels 12-14 would be
restricted by the hardware itself?
I suppose it does not prevent it to connect on wifis on these channels, as it
works with another driver. Maybe it only means that the chipset can only do
passive scanning, instead of active scanning? (which should not prevent
connecting)

[Bug 920554] Re: make_project crashed with ImportError in __main__: No module named boinc_path_config

2012-02-16 Thread melchiaros
I have looked into your ppa.

The only packages I see there are named boinc.

So?

This report is on boinc-server-maker.

How should I understand? Have you included all in your boinc
packages?Also the boinc-server-maker scripts?

[Bug 933572] [NEW] default storage pool recreated every time it is deleted

2012-02-16 Thread Thomas Schweikle
Public bug reported:

Deleted default storage pool is recreated every time it is deleted.
This is bad, since it is recreated hard at /var/lib/libvirt, even if a
new default was placed.

libvirtd shall use one of the existing storage pools as default, not
forcing one to have a pool named default at a fixed position within
the file system.

[Bug 933566] Re: Stopping resolvconf doesn't disable updates

2012-02-16 Thread Thomas Hood
I wrote:
The following change seems to fix this.

But don't make that change, because then updates are not enabled after
reboot!

(rebooted)
# ls -l /run/resolvconf
total 4
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 60 2012-02-16 17:12 interface/
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 2012-02-16 17:12 postponed-update
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 151 2012-02-16 17:12 resolv.conf

Combined with the curious fact that, after boot, the status of resolvconf is
stop/waiting and not running (as I earlier mentioned here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/resolvconf/+bug/929552/comments/16),
it looks to me as if resolvconf is both started and stopped on boot, except
that pre-stop scripts are not run. Or something. I don't understand Upstart.

[Bug 887316] Re: /var/lib/lightdm files owned by invalid user after reinstall

2012-02-16 Thread Bill Danielson
A clarification

In the original bug report I said:

It looks like the remove completely option should remove the dot files
in /var/lib/lightdm so they will be recreated with the correct userid if
lightdm is reinstalled at a later date.

I should have said (to be more clear):

It looks like the remove completely option should FIXED TO remove the
dot files in /var/lib/lightdm so they will be recreated with the correct
userid if lightdm is reinstalled at a later date.

I was suggesting a possible fix, not suggesting a workaround in the bug
report.

[Bug 930328] Re: Please sync geogebra 4.0.19.0+dfsg1-1 from Debian testing main

2012-02-16 Thread Giovanni Mascellani
This new fail is due to libfreehep-graphicsio-emf-java, which misses a
few files in Ubuntu. It was not triggered in my Debian, because the
Debian package was compiled some times ago and with a different version
of javahelper, that added those two files. I just uploaded to Debian a
new version, which should fix the problem in Ubuntu (source package is
freehep-graphicsio-emf).

Sorry for this new problem.

Giovanni.

[Bug 933575] [NEW] NFS not being mounted at boot time - rpc.statd is not running but is required for remote locking

2012-02-16 Thread mastro
Public bug reported:

Version: Ubuntu SERVER 11.04

installed nfs-commons

added this to /etc/fstab:

192.168.88.252:/repo /mnt/repos nfs rw,hard,intr 0 0

but I also tried
192.168.88.252:/repo /mnt/repos nfs _netdev,rw,hard,intr
192.168.88.252:/repo /mnt/repos nfs defaults,_netdev,rw,hard,intr

with
mnt /mnt/repos

it works.

reboot.

I don't get the NFS up at boot time.

I access to the server with SSH, eth0 and network is fine
no NetworkManager
no gui

mount -a

it works...

so to debug the issue I added this to /etc/rc.local (before exit 0)

 mount /mnt/repos /tmp/mounting.$$ 21

rebooted and I got this in that file:

mount.nfs: rpc.statd is not running but is required for remote locking.
mount.nfs: Either use '-o nolock' to keep locks local, or start statd.
mount.nfs: an incorrect mount option was specified

I can't get NFS being mounted at boot time.

[Bug 933203] Re: Black Screen after update to kernel 3.0.0-16.28 Reboot

2012-02-16 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? It
will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.3 kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've
tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing'
tag(Only that one tag, please leave the other tags). This can be done by
clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom
of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.

If this bug is fixed by the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream-KERNEL-VERSION'. For example, if kernel
version 3.3-rc2 fixed the issue, the tag would be: 'kernel-fixed-
upstream-v3.3-rc2'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot,
please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
Confirmed.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [Bug 925513] Re: plymouth should not run in container

2012-02-16 Thread Serge Hallyn
Quoting Michael Adam (ob...@samba.org):
 @Serge,

I might have misready your statement about network config.
I do add nettwork config (veth0, dev=virbr0, etc) manually.

What do you mean by adding it manually? Have you added it to the
/data/lxc/ubuntu1/config? If there is no 'lxc.network.link'
entry there, then a new network namespace is not created, which
is what you need You should jsut be able to

cat ./ubuntu1-template.con /data/lxc/ubuntu1/config

to get something that works.

There is no /etc/lxc/lxc.conf in my system.

Ah, right, that was introduced with precise.

The reason I used a config file snipped for lxc-create was
exactly to get this network virtualization layer into the container config.

Right, it's just that you provided that lxc.conf to lxc-create.
lxc-create copied that to where it wanted that path to go - which
is /var/lib/lxc/ubuntu1/config. lxc-create doesn't look at the
template arguments. It's certainly gross that lxc-create passes
information to the templates over the same channel that users do.
Might be worth talking with upstream about changing that for next
cycle.

cups-filters. What has to be done is to replace /usr/share/cups/data
/default-testpage.pdf in our cups-filters package by a branded file.
