[Bug 1079941] [NEW] -v version output is broken
Public bug reported: ceph -v output is broken in ceph package version 0.48.2-0ubuntu2. This is supposed to get built during any make from git revparse, which is stored in .git_version, which is then processed by make_version into ceph_ver.h, included in the sources. Investigating, it seems as though the source package orig.tar.gz does not contain the file, whereas what we thought we delivered to the location in debian/watch does. That file in the source tree contains version=3 http://ceph.com/download/ceph-(\d.*)\.tar\.gz However, I note that when I fetch the quantal source package with 'pull- lp-source ceph quantal', the debian/watch file in that package points somewhere else entirely: version=3 https://github.com/ceph/ceph/tags .*/tarball/v(\d[\d\.]+).* debian debian/orig-tar.sh That location appears not to exist anymore (perhaps github reorganized?) but in any event it's not where we expect the authoritative delivery to live. [Bug 833435] Re: Unity crashes when quitting a SFML application from quicklist
This issue has been fixed. I've tested it on an up to date version of Ubuntu 12.04 (Unity 5.16.0) and Ubuntu 12.10 (Unity 6.10.0) with mutiple different types of applications that previously caused these issues (QtOctave, SFML applications, and some x11 apps.) The launcher icon for the applications in question display the correct name and when closing said applications though the quicklist quit option they no longer crash unity. Also is bug: #879745 is a duplicate; I believe they both can be closed. [Bug 1078038] Re: excessive swapping on resume renders laptop useless 20% of the time
It seems to help. I've now had 9 suspend/resume cycles since the Bios upgrade. They all went smoothly, except for one. In this instance I had a larger than average memory load (firefox ~500M, thunderbird ~300M, Java ~200M, I think about 2.5G out of 3.9G in use). The system could recover after I had killed these three (freeing ~1G), but swapping continued for another 5 minutes or so. I've had 2 or 3 snappy suspends after this one. Interestingly, before the critical suspend on 'high memory load' swap was virtually empty (~200K), but now, after this critical suspend, swap remains around 1G used, while memory is about 1.7G used. Just for clarity, I did not reboot during this period (reboots are for kernel upgrades or other emergencies :-) Any other info that I need to supply? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1078038 Title: excessive swapping on resume renders laptop useless 20% of the time To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1078038/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1078543] Re: Pulse audio failed to start; no audio present in raring
I think the problem here is that pulseaudio is declared Multi-Arch: foreign, where in fact it should not be multi-arch at all (only libpulse and its dependencies should be multi-arch: same, which they already are). I don't know how pulseaudio and pulseaudio-esound-compat end up with different architectures, but pulseaudio-esound-compat is useless without a pulseaudio package of the same arch. ** Summary changed: - Pulse audio failed to start; no audio present in raring + [raring] Pulse audio fails to start with error ** Summary changed: - [raring] Pulse audio fails to start with error + [raring] Pulse audio fails to start with error 'Failed to open module module-esound-protocol-unix: file not found' -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1078543 Title: [raring] Pulse audio fails to start with error 'Failed to open module module-esound-protocol-unix: file not found' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1078543/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 664366] Re: firebird2.5-classic cannot be installed (hang in debconf/frontend)
You can close this, 11.04 is not supported any more.
