[Bug 1637024] Re: fwupd consuming very high cpu after startup/login
Hello, Although it's possible it's a relapse/regression, the more likely situation is another corner case that causes similar symptoms. The mention in kern.log about failing to coldplug UEFI isn't the cause of this, that's expected if your manufacturer doesn't support UEFI capsule updates. A similar bug with Ubuntu 16.10 was just reported upstream here: https://github.com/hughsie/fwupd/issues/70 It has not yet been debugged. If you are technical enough, can you please follow the same steps mentioned in that bug? https://github.com/hughsie/fwupd/issues/70#issuecomment-254816591 That combination of artifacts and steps should hopefully help to narrow down what's going on. Also, please immediately back up the contents of /var/lib/app-info/yaml (and make sure you follow symlinks) as if it's caused by transient metadata in that directory it may clear up on it's own the next day and be hard to reproduce. ** Bug watch added: github.com/hughsie/fwupd/issues #70 https://github.com/hughsie/fwupd/issues/70 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1637024 Title: fwupd consuming very high cpu after startup/login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/appstream-glib/+bug/1637024/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1566987] Re: No internet connection through WLAN although connected to network
this is a thought/hack only for consideration: searching online: a debian[-testing] user had issues with a t460 (power-management or wake from suspend on battery; yes a different issue to you; {stefon:2016-03-26}) which was fixed with a later 4.5 kernel. the following is a link to install another kernel should you feel comfortable to try. http://ubuntuhandbook.org/index.php/2016/05/install-linux-kernel-4-6-ubuntu-16-04/ note: I would NOT delete your existing kernel. I am also assuming you have GRUB installed. If there are problems select an older kernel (at grub menu) & just remove (dpkg -r) the newer kernel. This is something you might want to consider trying/testing. Any questions, please ask. [Bug 1635375] Re: First letter doubled in Facebook posts.
Michael, can you make anything out about bug 1637364? It halted the rollout of the latest webkit2gtk to Ubuntu 16.10 to those who use the GUI update-manager (those who the command line or gnome- software to update will get the update anyway). http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/phased-updates.html Unfortunately, I couldn't tell by looking what app triggered the crash, nor does errors.ubuntu.com work like a normal bug tracker where users can provide additional info and can be asked questions. Earlier this week, the crashy gnome-shell plugin stopped the rollout but I had that error ignored. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1635375 Title: First letter doubled in Facebook posts. This seems to be deeper related to GNOME3 stack. If you use any WM that is Mutter or Mutter-derived - gnome-session-quit works fine. As soon as you do `compiz --replace` it stops working. [Bug 1637369] [NEW] Can no longer paste a file in nautilus without keyboard
Public bug reported: In file list mode, nautilus used to either have a paste option in the titlebar menu or via a menu that could be opened from a "cog" symbol at the right-hand top of its window (and for a while, via the right-click menu if you right-clicked on whitespace instead of a file name). But the only non-keyboard option I can find in nautilus 1:3.20.3-1ubuntu3.1 now is the right-click menu, but this is not available when the nautilus window is full of filenames (as in the attached screenshot), so pasting is impossible without the keyboard in this case. What happened to the "cog" menu? IIRC correctly this was present until quite recently. [Bug 1631754] Re: gspell does not include translations
** Description changed: Sponsoring Notes - Please just sync gspell to zesty. + For zesty, please sync gspell. The update adds a new binary package since Debian is now using an arch- independent -common package for translations. Impact == The gspell package does not include any translations. This means that Text Editor spell checking dialog is not translated which is a regression from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (in 16.10, the spell checker library was split out of the gedit source). Test Case = Check the build log to ensure that translations are included. Because gspell is in main, its translations won't be available until a language pack is created. gspell is so far only used in gedit. sudo apt install language-pack-fr language-pack-gnome-fr 1. Open the Settings app to the Region panel. Choose French (France) as default language. 2. Log out and log back in. 3. Open 'Éditeur de texte' 4. Type a misspelled word in the text editor 5. In the menu, click 'Outils' , then select 'Verification orthographique' The spell check dialog should be in French not English. Regression Potential === None. It's actually a package breaker. A fresh install: apt-get install pcs fence-agents ldirectord fails. The file mentioned above that needs removing corosync.conf, prevents apt from a successful install. Touching that to make it empty allows the install to complete. Which, apparently, breaks the token creator which breaks all the auth. Also, before any of it will actually run, gem install orderedhash must complete or pcsd won't launch. And then, to get both ipv6 and ipv4 both bind and acceptance of hosts, /usr/share/ssl.rb needs :BindAddress=> '*', :Host => '*', :SSLEnable => true, Initially the * was :: which didn't connect on ipv4, preventing some internal comm from happening much less joining clusters. So, basically, "Just Works" is not happening here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1584365 Title: pcs cluster auth unable to connect To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcs/+bug/1584365/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
