[Bug 2051720]
Does this have any relation to the message I am seeing in the journal logs after warm boot? Namely this: Bluetooth: hci0: command 0xfc00 tx timeout I can confirm that I still get this message on a mainline kernel build. I have started a thread on linux-bluetooth with the subject "QCA6390 bluetooth doesn't work after warm boot or disable/reenable" if that helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2051720 Title: Bluetooth Broken In Kernel Versions 6.5+ (Intel AX210) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/2051720/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Yeah, I turn my PC off every night. Have turned it on from a cold power off every morning for the last year or so this hasn't been working. Upgraded kernel to 6.8.4-arch1-1, removed btusb from the module loading blacklist, powered-off the PC and powering it on again, bluetooth was working. Re: [Bug 2060736] Re: After update, Login no longer works after waking from 'systemctl suspend'
Sorry for the delay. I had to find an external keyboard and a usb-c adapter. I can connect the external keyboard and switch it in and out ad-hoc and my laptop keyboard and the external keyboard both work fine. So base case is good. I can suspend the computer with the laptop keyboard and, upon waking, the laptop keyboard does not type characters into the password box. Then I connect the external keyboard and I CAN enter the password and get to the desktop. Once I disconnect the external keyboard the laptop's keyboard still does not enter characters at the command prompt (after logging in with the external keyboard after waking up after a suspend). I reconnect the external keyboard and I can then resume working. It appears that suspending the laptop somehow is disabling the laptop's keyboard. Note that the functionality of the laptop's mouse is unaffected. I hope this helps, John If there's any other tests you'd like me to run, please let me know. (but I won't be able to run them until tomorrow morning.) Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We understand the difficulties you are facing, but it is better to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. If you would prefer live chat support, you can find an IRC support channel for your flavor of Ubuntu here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IRC/ChannelList. [Bug 2059847] Re: Input lag or freezes on Nvidia desktops with X11
Upstream Gnome 46 made a lot of changes recently to improve performance and input lag in Gnome-Terminal. Those changes are separate from this bug. I don't know whether those changes were backported to Ubuntu 22.04, which ships Gnome 42. That's a question for Daniel or someone else at Canonical. See https://bxt.rs/blog/just-how-much-faster-are-the-gnome-46-terminals/ and note that the graphs are only talking about lag in the neighborhood of 40-50ms, which is probably just barely perceptible. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2059847 Title: Input lag or freezes on Nvidia desktops with X11 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/2059847/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Installation of mail3man-web (0+20200530-2.1) in mantic produces a list of 14 warnings that look like this: WARNINGS: django_mailman3.MailDomain: (models.W042) Auto-created primary key used when not defining a primary key type, by default 'django.db.models.AutoField'. HINT: Configure the DEFAULT_AUTO_FIELD setting or the DjangoMailman3Config.default_auto_field attribute to point to a subclass of AutoField, e.g. 'django.db.models.BigAutoField'. This would only be a minor nuisance, except that the application sends this list of warnings in an email to the site administrator _once every minute_. The issue can be resolved by adding this line to /usr/share/mailman3-web/settings.py (patch attached): DEFAULT_AUTO_FIELD='django.db.models.AutoField' ** Affects: mailman-suite (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Patch added: "auto_field.patch" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060753/+attachment/5763076/+files/auto_field.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060753 Title: mailman3-web needs DEFAULT_AUTO_FIELD setting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mailman-suite/+bug/2060753/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 2060291] Re: [Intel N95] Horizontal line artifact/ghosting when scaling windows to a certain width
Seems to not happen with items built with Qt. but is definitely happening with gedit, and system, nautilus, calclator and modal file window. It does not appear to be transient because I can open and close calculator and it will still happen. I don't know if that means it's a problem with gtk, or gnome. But from my loose understanding of Linux GUI development it seems to be restricted to apps likely built with the same widget toolkit. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2060291 Title: [Intel N95] Horizontal line artifact/ghosting when scaling windows to a certain width To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2060291/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1597017] Re: mount rules grant excessive permissions
Hello John, or anyone else affected, Accepted apparmor into jammy-proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed- jammy to verification-done-jammy. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping! N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days. ** Description changed: SRU Team; the packages for focal-proposed and jammy-proposed are intended as security updates prepared by the Ubuntu Security team (and have built in a ppa with only the security pockets enabled). However, because the fix makes mount rules in apparmor policy be treated more restrictively than they were prior to this update, we would like these packages to gain more widespread testing. Risk of Regression: The update for this issue causes the apparmor parser, the tool that translates written policy into the enforcement data structures used by the kernel, to generate more strict policy for mount rules, like the example below. They are not common in apparmor policy generally, but can appear in policies written for container managers to restrict containers, and thus can potentially break container startup. The packages prepared for focal-proposed and jammy-proposed have tested with the versions of snapd, lxc, libvirt, and docker in the ubuntu - archive, but conainter managers outside of the ubunty archive may run + archive, but container managers outside of the ubuntu archive may run into issues, hence the need for testing and policy adjustments. Original Report: The rule mount options=(rw,make-slave) -> **, ends up allowing mount -t proc proc /mnt which it shouldn't as it should be restricted to commands with a make- slave flag ** Changed in: apparmor (Ubuntu Jammy) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed verification-needed-jammy ** Changed in: apparmor (Ubuntu Focal) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed-focal -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1597017 Title: mount rules grant excessive permissions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/apparmor/+bug/1597017/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
