*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 945028 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/945028 My situation was similar: 10.04LTS print server and 12.04LTS LTSP thin clients and server. Was trying to off-load the printing services from my ltsp server to an existing 10.04 machine. Once configured, thin clients could not discover printers in any applications (except Chromium Browser). Upgraded cups on 10.04 machine using source to 1.6 with no change.
