*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1155609 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1155609 Is there more info available on the EDID issue? I am absolutely ignorant about this (I will google this out). What should I be looking to accomplish by overriding the EDID? Use xedid or similar to override the EDID. As to the GPU lockup, I gather it continued working properly, without having a hard freeze. So this is a dupe of the false gpu bug. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1155609 False GPU lockup EIR: 0x0010 -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1155230 Title: [i915gm] False GPU lockup EIR: 0x0010 PGTBL_ER: 0x0100 IPEHR: 0x0100 Status in “xserver-xorg-video-intel” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: This error occurred while trying to connect an external monitor to an Inspiron 6000.
