I'm not sure if this bumps the bug or not, but this exact same issue
still exists on Ubuntu 15.10. :(

[Bug 1460498] [NEW] Unable to play back sound or plays back too fast with Audacity on Ubuntu 15.04 with wireless USB Headset

2015-05-31 Thread NothingMuchHereToSay
Public bug reported:

I can record my voice just fine with my headset, but Audacity doesn't
detect my headset's output. So it records fine, but when it's set to
default or pulse, I can't play back ANYTHING OR it just plays back
too fast, trying to play back to my headset, either way is unacceptable.

I have a Logitech Wireless Headset H600 ( USB ).

[Bug 1355044] Re: [MSI A88XM-E35] Ubuntu 14.04.1 constant reboot without nomodeset

2014-09-20 Thread NothingMuchHereToSay
Hi, is this a continuation from the bug report from freedesktop.org?

I'd like to add that from the freedesktop bug report that someone had a
Gigabyte motherboard and when bapm was enabled, the reporter experienced
problems, but it fixed the constant rebooting problem on my MSI
motherboard that has a Richland APU.

[Bug 1325165] [NEW] DPM support is broken in radeon APUs with HD 8000 radeon chips

2014-05-30 Thread NothingMuchHereToSay
Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu 14.04 amd64 with Kernel's 3.13 and 3.14, DPM (Dynamic Power
Management) support is broken on my Radeon 8670D APU chip. What happens
is that when my PC boots, it shows the login screen for a second then
immediately reboots on its own, I do however have encryption enabled on
Ubuntu.

Manually disabling DPM support by adding radeon.dpm=0 in
/etc/default/grub in the section GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=quiet
splash fixes this problem, but I would like to have better power
management enabled for better performance of my chip.

Specs: MSI FM2-A75IA-E53 motherboard, 16GB DDR3 RAM, AMD A10-6700T APU.

[Bug 733349] Re: Minimize Application's Windows upon clicking its Launcher Icon

2013-04-19 Thread NothingMuchHereToSay
I think because there's this expose-like feature that happens when you
click on the icon when there's two of the same Window (2 open Firefox
windows for example), this won't happen anytime soon, if at all. If
there's only one Window, however, then I wouldn't mind the minimize
feature.
