[Bug 651586] Re: Mozilla Thunderbird and Firefox spellcheck has too many languages
I really hope so. Spell check in default mozilla applications is bulky and needs to simplified. Mozilla developers, please have a look at how Chromium handles the the same task, I am honestly impressed. [Bug 263435] Re: Cannot use firefox keyboard shortcuts when flash object is selected
** Summary changed: - Firefox cannot close tab (using Ctrl-w) when flash content is selected on page + Cannot use firefox keyboard shortcuts when flash object is selected ** Description changed: Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree - Firefox cannot close tab (using Ctrl-w) or switch to next tab (using - Ctrl-Tab) when flash content is selected on page. + Firefox cannot close tab (using Ctrl-w) or Quit (using Ctrl-q) or switch + to next tab (using Ctrl-Tab) when flash content is selected on page. Steps to reproduce: 1) Open a new Tab 2) Go to a website with flash content (in this case youtube.com) 3) Selected the flash content by clicking on it (in this case click on play) 4) While the content plays, press a keyboard shortcut (in this case Ctrl-w to close the tab) Result: The shortcut is not registered by firefox, the tab remains open Expectation: The shortcut should be registered by firefox, the tab should close A good way of knowing that selecting the flash content is at the root of the problem: if you select a part of the page that is not flash content (in this case empty white space at the right or the left of the video) followed by Ctrl-W, the tab closes. [Bug 1024955] [NEW] Changing volume while parec records monitor causes sound to studder
Public bug reported: Changing volume while parec records monitor causes recorded sound to stutter (synonyms: lag, jump, skips). This was tested on audio coming from Firefox/Flash as well as VLC. Both applications produce the same result. How to reproduce: 1) Use the following script which finds the monitor pseudo-device and records its output to a file using sox. #!/bin/bash #This script requires sox, if not installed, run sudo apt-get install sox command first. # Get PA sink monitor name: MONITOR=$(pactl list | grep -A2 '^Source #' | grep 'Name: .*\.monitor$' | awk '{print $NF}' | tail -n1) # Record monitor output echo Recording from $MONITOR echo Press Ctrl-C or close window to stop recording parec -d $MONITOR | sox -t raw -r 44100 -sLb 16 -c 2 - ~/output.wav 2) While it is recording, play with the volume controls (top panel volume/speaker icon) to bring the volume all the way down, and then all the way up using your mouses scroll wheel or touchpads scroll functionality. Result: recorded sound stutter or lags Expected: monitor device is not linked to output volume therefore sound should be recorded without interference from regular system use. Question: Trying to find the cause of the interference is beyond me. Could this issue be related to sox? If so, could someone recommend or test this script with a different program? [Bug 1024955] Re: Changing volume while parec records monitor causes sound to studder
** Description changed: Changing volume while parec records monitor causes sound to stutter (synonyms: lag, jump, skips). This was tested on audio coming from Firefox/Flash as well as VLC. Result: recorded sound stutter or lags Expected: monitor device is not linked to output volume therefore sound should be recorded without interference from regular system use. [Bug 1006575] [NEW] firefox does not remember file browse window size
Public bug reported: Not sure if this is related to Bug #876862 as it is particularly about the window that shows up when you browse for a file on your computer to upload. The size of the browse window is not remembered. I use a 9 inch screen at a resolution of 1024x600. The browse window is bigger in height than 600px making it that I can't the the buttons Cancel and Open as well as the file type filter. This seems to affect Unity 2D as well. When I press SPACE the terminal comes down. I did some tests to see if the Ctrl key was pressed down (hardware) and it is not. [Bug 850459] Re: Can't install Google Chrome in 11.10 Ocelot
Unfortunately, chromium bugs are not tracked in Launchpad since they are 3rd party packages. I was able to install google-chrome-stable 14.0.835.202-r103287 deb from the chrome website on Oneiric Beta 2. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/850459 Title: Can't install Google Chrome in 11.10 Ocelot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/850459/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 803917] Re: Do not appear in Startup Applications
This seems to affect Ubuntu Oneiric only (compared to previous releases as well as Fedora 16). I'm having a hard time explaining how to disable a hidden item for one user in Startup Applications? Would it be possible to expand gnome-session-properties to ignore NoDisplay value: $ gnome-session-properties --hidden This would be a much simpler workaround compared to editing multiple files (that may be written over by an updated package). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/803917 Title: Do not appear in Startup Applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/jockey/+bug/803917/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 871492] [NEW] Copy process pauses/interrupts on file conflict
Public bug reported: Copy process pauses/interrupts on file conflict. Ideally we would want all file conflicts would be managed before the copy starts and not during the copy.
