Binary package hint: pidgin

I know the hiding of the buddy window at startup is in a plugin (extended 
preferences).
First:
 I think it's VERY basic functionality that should be in the main preferences.
Second:
 On latest ubuntu gutsy (2007-08-02), the setting in the plugin doesn't work. 
The buddy list always shows.
