It's been a while. And Jeppe has already said that 4.13.12 fixes the issue. Both here and in bug 1718654. The proposed Artful kernel now has the 4.13.12 updates and is in the -proposed repository. Would it be possible for you to test the proposed kernel and post back if it resolves this bug? I installed 4.11.0, and the problem re-appears.
