This was never fixed in feisty. This particular bug does not exist with
gutsy's 2.6.22-9-generic, but bug 129515 does.

Sadly yes. Same symptoms: the screen doesn't come on when waking.

[Bug 79163] Re: [feisty] can't wake from sleep on nx7010

2007-04-02 Thread Martin Pool
Still happening in 2.6.20-13.21. The kern.log is attached; the only
mention I see in there is

Apr 1 22:35:00 hope kernel: [53301.612000] PM: Preparing system for mem
sleep

I can reproduce it in recovery mode without networking or X, just to
eliminate some variables.

Please try this with the latest kernel to see if the PM_TRACE enabled in

OK, thanks Ben.

Where should I look for the trace output, or will it be obvious?

Thanks for reporting this bug. To make any progress with it, some more
information will be needed. Please add (by commenting on the bug) to the
bug report the output of the following commands: 'uname -a' 'sudo lspci
-vvn' 'sudo dmidecode'. It would also be helpful if you could try to
hibernate/suspend and after that fails, restart your system and attach
/var/log/kern.log.0 as well. Thanks again for your contribution.

[Bug 79163] Re: [feisty] can't wake from sleep on nx7010

2007-02-18 Thread Martin Pool
Here's kern.log, kern.log.0 is from yesterday.

This is after trying to suspend: the machine does suspend. When I try
to wake it the disk light comes on, but the backlight does not
illuminate. SysRq+b keys work to reboot.
