i have setup kannel with ksmppd and all works fine but sometime any of my
smpp user send DLR Flag 0 and my provider don't send DLR back for same
message. i have also ask from ksmppd but they not able to do anything with
this

can anyone help me with configuration to force kannel to ask dlr for every
sms

Hi,

2 servers is possible if you use kannel with sqlbox. on first server
install kannel and sqlbox and on second server keep only for reporting.
make a cron job script on second server which access sqlbox table
(Remotely) and insert data in local DB

we are using this method from last 2 years and works fine

Issue with handle UDH Data

Hi,

am using kannel with sqlbox am having issue with udh data in long sms (more
then 160 character)

is anyone have idea how to handle udh data because when i send hug message
ie more then 1000sms on different numbers most of udh found same am unable
to update dlr

also i receive only first message report from smsc and kannel not ask smsc
to send other sms parts reports

is anyone help me out to resolve this issue

Dear All,

i want to discus an little issue which i face with my sms server/application

am using kannel 1.4.4 along with sqlbox and also i have develop full php
script for sending sms and check reports

all things works fine but i have little issue with reports sync

all reports comes from operator/smpp directly insert to my sql-box table
sent_sms and another my php script sync this reports to my reporting
database.

but my php script take very long time to update my reports to my reporting
DB

now my question is : how i can improve speed of my php script for sync DB
one solution which i have is upgrade server configuration any alternate
solution is valuable.

please suggest if you have any alternate solution

DLR URL don't impact sending or reporting system their is some issue with
your application or configuration and also please make sure you bind SMSC
with transceiver mode.

we are trying to setup modem based sms gateway using kannel so we just want
to know is their any way to set sms cap on smsc ?

i mean if am having 16 modems and i want to set 100 sms will be sent using
each modem.. is it possible.

kindly add flowing lines in your configuration

store-type = spool
store-location = /var/spool/kannel

then you can find all queue message in store location /var/spool/kannel

note : don't forget create an directory named "kannel" in /var/sppol before
add this lines and this will work only kannel 1.4.x or later versions

volume of sms.

i mean my application and kannel works perfectly if i send upto 100's
message but on large volume like 10,000 or more i missed lots of DLR
