do anybody have any experience with connecting Sun Storedge L180 library (up
to 10 drives, up to 180 slots) with LTO drives to W2K box (one of our
customers wants it so)? I checked TSM device support list and this library
is supported for W2K TSM server from 4.2.0 version for all TSM
I have db volumes on netapp filer on NFS .And when ever disk is
accessed I see 99% wait on DISK FOR cpu?
We see a very similar problem. We have a storage pool on NetApp, and

haven't found any problems only installing the patch version of the

When it comes to servers and TDP, it's a whole different story. In theese

Spreading the I/O among several disks is preferred as it increase the
throughput. As RAID 0,1 is prefered to RAID 5 as each write is faster.
This of course is more expensive.

and started and incremental. This node is runnig a 64 bit kernal but I
installed the 32 bit client. Ican ping the TSM server from the node, and

I have two objections to backupsets. The first is that API data is not covered. The
second is that you are not supposed to make new backups for a node whilst the
backupset is being created - this could cause horrendous scheduling difficulties in my
environment.

5.x client. While this machine is still using 4.2.3.0, we are going to

I used STKL700 6xLTO on Win2K and TSM 4.2. It works fine. Use the TSM device
driver, disable win2k driver. One SCSI HVD Channel per drive.
