Hi, for most of the backups we use the TSM scheduler. For some others, we
use Tivoli Workload Scheduler (former Maestro, Unisson). No problem with it.
Db2 backups are scheduled with AIX crons, TWS might be used there too.

We are running TSM 5.1 on AIX 5.1, with JFS file systems

We are using the 'domain all-local' parameter in our dsm.opt file but the backup is
consistently skipping one drive. (Of course, it is the most
critical drive with the largest amount of data.) Has anyone else run into this
problem? Is it a security issue?

The only way to restore a single OU is:
1. Pick a DC (any DC should do) - you may not want to pick the FSMO.
2. Use F8 and boot into DS restore mode.
3. Use ntbackup or TSM to restore complete AD database (you cannot restore
an OU).
4. Use NTDSUtil to mark the particular OU as authoritative - this
TSM needs read to the root of the drive, or it won't see it.
