Hello,
we want to install sysback on systems where already installed tdp for
oracle and tsm 64-bit api.
Sysback needs the tsm 32-bit tsm api.
Should I deinstall the 64-bit tsm api and install the 32-bit tsm api
(performance of tdp for oracle ?),
or can I install both (32-bit and 64-bit tsm api).
Dear TSM's!
I'm doing every day full backup and I'm dong log backup every two hours. I
keep 7 versions of a backup!
How can I store (select) each month one TDP Backup for Long time retention?

B/A clients. I have tried with tdpsqlc backup * set
Hi fellows,
I have strange problem with administrative command line - dsmadmc.
According to manual, from version 5.2 there is a new option -dataonly=yes.
This option is working on my Windows client (version 5.2.0.6), but not on
my AIX
client. On my AIX 5.1 system, I have TSM server 5.2.2.5 and
Hi Perpetua!
In most cases the error PrivIncrFileSpace: Received rc=106 from
fioGetDirEntries is caused by incorrect permissions. You mention the client
to be a HP11, does that mean HP-UX version 11? If so, isn't TSM running
under the root account?

Hi Zoltan!
The Image client was introduced in 3.7, so 3.7.0.0 is the minimum level.
Whether you should use that level...

The most tsm clients have resourceutil 2 in our environment, only 3 big nodes

The admin CLI -DATAONLY option is platform neutral. Thus it doesn't matter
on which OS you run the admin; it should work.
Check your enUS/dsmclientV3.cat file and make sure it's modification time
matches that of the dsmadmc module.
If you continue to have trouble with this option, contact IBM

Mladen,
One way to do this is to create a separate NODENAME with
different policy settings and use that NODENAME to perform
a full back up of your SQL Server databases once per month.

If you need relief before you get to Win2003, what some people do is:
1) exclude the systemobject from TSM backups
2) set up a Windows scheduled task that backs up the systemobject to a
flat file:
The command is:
C:\WINNT\system32\NTBACKUP.EXE backup systemstate /f
Nope. The filesystem we were testing with is not in use by anything and
can be dismounted.
We even tried with -imagetype=dynamic. Same error message !
