Looks to me like it could be two different machines trying to use one
node name. The biggest clue that this is the problem is your message
ANR2576W. Reboot the client machine, in case it really did get two
schedulers running. But it's more likely two different machines trying
to share one nodename.
Orin,
I can confirm, what Bill has already told you, from first-hand
experience using TDP for Exchange in W2K3 environment that it works
flawlessly.
You do not need to setup another temp. box to do that, this is the main
purpose of RSG in W2K3! You do not need to dismount any production

Hi,
is there a command to restore a hundred of inactive files in unattended mode
(no -pick) even if an active version exists? Is it possible to restore let say
the 3rd inactive version of those files in a batch?

By default it puts the data back in the same POOL as the destroyed
volume.
So the volume it selects for output will depend on your definition for
that storage pool.
If the storage pool is collocated it may spread the data around; if not
collocated, it should look for the FILLING volume in the pool
depends if your storage pool is collocated or not.

And make darn sure you use the install.exe program with the driver to
install the driver. Do not do, as I did, and try to install the drivers
through device manager. You will be very sorry if you try that!

I forgot to include the commands
EXPORT NODE C1APP564 FILESPACE=\\c1app564\c$ FSID=1 DOMAIN=CC_WINNT
FILEDATA=ARCHIVE PREVIEW=NO DEVCLASS=SERVERCLASS
SCRATCH=YES
IMPORT NODE c1app564 FILESPACE=\\c1app564\c$ DEVCLASS=SERVERCLASS

I looked at the adsm archive before I wrote. The domain does not exist
on the new server so it places the node in to the STANDARD domain. I
also set up some pools for this domain to use. Does it have to go into
the same domain?

An EXPORT is a COPY operation, not a delete.
You can export all the data to tape, then use the CLIENT to delete just the
archive versions you want to delete.

I'm trying to do an export/import of the archive data on a client. I am
using server to server volumes. The source is a TSM 5.1.5 server on
z/os. The target is 5.3 Windows.
The export completes successfully...1 file space and 15 archive files

Can someone tell me the difference between a classic and noquery
restore?
I found an explanation on the web, but am not sure I understand.
If I'm restoring 3 drives on a windows server (drives C: D: E:) and they
are small, but contain over 1 million files..do I want to use
classic or noquery
You should not be using Windows removable storage manager.
DISABLE the Windows removeable storage manager service.
INSTALL the IBM driver for the TS3310 (download from www.storage.ibm.com) and
the LTO drives.
Do not try to run 5.3.0.0; apply maintenance to upgrade to TSM 5.3.3.
Then use the ISC

Hi Gurus,
on a linux client ( RHEL4 U2 - x86_64 , ext3 filesystems )
I noticed a strange problem, restoring works fine for most files but
when it tried to restore big files ( ~30-50GB), it'd run at regular

Folks,
Have a problem with low scratch tapes and my copypool
This past weekend, my coworker successfully completed a "node migration"
from one storage pool to another of approximately 4TB
Unfortunately, when my tapepool -> tapecopy script launched, it is
making copies of all the new tapes that w
