I was trying to check in a tape received from off-site storage to our
library.
The following command was issued: checkin libv medslib 22 status=scr
checkl=yes
Some of my tapes would check
Hi,
Do a 'q vol 22 f=d' to find out if the tape have data on it.
And do a 'q volhist t=dbb' to find out if the tape is a db backup tape.
Check in the tape with 'checkin libv medslib 22 status=pri
checkl=yes'
Update your admin schedule which deletes volume history, ex 'del volhist
t=dbb
Hi Kerry!
This means that the volume is not a scratch volume, probably because
it's still in TSM's volume inventory. Check the volume's current status
by issuing a q vol 00022 f=d.
If you are using DRM, you should use the DRM commands to return the
volume.

I’m trying to Install TSM 5.3.2.0 and 6.01 on a w2k3 R2 server. When I get to
the point that I’m configuring devices on the TSM Console, I get error message
ANRE2080. It appears that TSM devices driver doesn’t recognize the media
changer but on windows device manager recognize IBM tape
The device driver you need to use depends upon the device type you
are trying to implement - which isn't mentioned in the posting.
Refer to the Supported Devices page for initial direction:
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/sysmgmt/products/support/
And also the supported level of the TSM server for your device type. Make sure
that your library/tape drive(s) is/are supported on
TSM 5.3.2.0. You may have to upgrade and based on the critical flaw
notification IBM sent out a week ago, you should probably think
about going to 5.3.4.0.

Hello All,
1) How do I find out the admin schedule for a system where the
administrator is no longer available?
2) I have tapes from a vault that need to get checked in. If they
won't get checked in using the checkin command using a status of
scratch, what are the ramifications of
Hi Kelly,
1) You will have to create another Admin (if you don't have the password for
the old admin). You can do this by
halting the TSM server and starting dsmserv in the foreground (Server
Console). You can then create a new
admin account.
Query the schedules with Q EV * T=A or
Hello all,
Anyone using etrust AV scanning? These the files that are being excluded
this is not working any suggestions?
here are the files we are excluding from eTrust AV scanning. This isn't
working, so there may be other process(es) to exclude, and likely some

How can I put all these folders in a Client schedule option script to

Finish one, then start a new dsmc script.

We don't have much context for the occurrence of that 5.3.0 install
error, so can't offer much advice except to assure that you have all
the right filesets, and that they are intact (particularly meaning,
that if you FTPed them, that you did so in Binary mode). liblpp.a is
generally a lib file
You can't proceed to try to use devices which are not in an Available
(Disponible) state: Definido (Defined) is insufficient. It may mean
that the device is not powered on or there's a device driver
incompatibility in talking to the device. Make sure you are using
consistent bitmode software
