Hello,
if we would need a copy-pool-volume on location B, which is actually
stored at location A 80km away, we could put this tape in a library at

Hello,
there is a maximum size threshold of 5 G defined at the storagepool TAPE_ORACLE.
The migrated file seems to exceed 5G.

Hi,
perhaps a workaround for this APAR is to initiate the migration process several
times.

Hi,
within the performance guide it is recommended to use multiple db volumes (4 -
16) and multiple log volumes.
A TSM server database with 195 GB seems to be very large in order to reach high
performance rates.
Isn't it better to split the TSM server in two servers?

Kirsten
Hi,
the 3584 tape library can be configured in several logical libraries. The 4 SCSI
LTO1 drives can be configured
in the first logical library with the control path defined on the first SCSI
LTO1 drive. The 4 FC LTO2 drives
can be configured in the second logical library with the control path

Hi,
1. SDLT volume mounted in SDLT drive and a bit later the move failed with the
warning ANR1145W (not enough mount points available). All drives and paths were
online A 'query mount' didn't give any other mount requests.
the problem will be fixed in PTF level 5.2.2.0 with APAR IC37866.
Hi,
it's well described in redbook SG24-6502-01.

Hi,
We have problems to backup a NT Server via SAN with an Emulex LP8000
adapter to a 3494 library with 3590E1A tape drives. Has anyone tried
this? It is possible to access disks from the NT server via SAN and it
is possible to access the 3590E1A drives via an RS/6000.

Kirsten
