Yes, we only define one path per drive. We are NOT defining paths for every rmt device. So, each library client has 72 drives defined to it, with mulit-pathing, and we only define a path for one of the rmt devices. Same holds true for all storage agents as well. Sean English Strand, Neil

Gerald, If there is more than one channel allocated for the recovery process, then it is possible that a restore will use more than one drive. For example, if you allocate 4 channels to the recovery of the database, have 4 drives, and all of the data is spread across 4 tapes, then you might run

This error message means that the user account running TSM does not possess a required NT user right/privilege for performing the current operation. I would check the access rights for that particular user and make sure they have access to all the files. Hope this helps. Regards, Sean M.
