We have in pool offsite some cartridges (near 200). If we have a demand for

Hi All,
I'm trying to move datacentres by restoring a 4.2.2 database to 5.1.5.3 at the new

war stories.
Anyway, I've defined my server and I'm running scripts modified from the DRM plan
scripts. When I come
Hi all tSM'ers,
I have a SUN box that opens a a TCP/IP connection every 10 Mins all day every
day, the dsm.sys file is ok.
Unfortunatly I haven't got access to the server, but could it be that a wrong
package is installed, such as HSM?

Hi,
What is the proper way to upgrade TSM clients (TSM 3.7.x and TSM 4.1.x clients on
Windows and TSM 4.1.x client on HPUX)
1. Just install the new client over the old version
2. Uninstall first the old client. What about the client config files (dsm.opt,
inclexcl files and dsm.sys). Remain
Hi,
did somebody try to install the TSM-Client 5.1.5 for SGI/IRIX?
When I did it, the IRIX install program (swmgr or inst) complained
about invalid/incomplete package format.
Is there anybody who could install this client successfully?

Hi
Have you checked your schedule settings? Seems like the client is checking
for scheduled events with a 10 minute retention.
If Im not mistaken, the HSM client opens a static connection, not with 10
min intervals.

Best way (especially for Wintel machines) is to use TSM to remove
old scheduler, then uninstall TSM, then install new TSM and setup
new scheduler. Config files like dsm.opt, dsm.sys and incl/excl
files are not deleted by uninstalling. (They weren't installed by the
install process, so it doesn't

Where can I find a pdf version of the Tivoli Storage Manager for AIX: Managed
System for SAN Storage Agents User's Guide Most likely for a version 5

store. Can anybody help me.

Hello,
I have a point to point FC connection with a SAN GW (LTO) and a Modular Data
Router (3570) using 2 different Emulex HBA's.
All devices show up as mt124.x.x.x and lb124.x.x.x, my question, is that normal?

Is it really an IBM Magstar MP 3570? You must be in a near line
environment where data access time is relatively low. I have installed
plenty of those autoloaders in the past, but it seems to be somewhat
obsolete for a NEW TSM installation. I would recommend installing the
latest version of the
You should keep dsm.opt file in c:\tivoli\tsm\baclient\.

Subject: TSM 5.1 Monitor into TSM Management Console
Hi
I
Before proceeding, upgrade to 5.1.1.6 (or later); there were problems in
the 5.1 base, GUI-console (and web-admin) are not installed for proper
operation. Upgrade to 5.1.1.0, from ftp site, then add patch level that you
like (I would advise 6 or higher, imho).
