I don't understand this bug report. What is Pidgin's status window? If
other programs are accessing Gaim's status system through DBus or a
plugin, it's not going to magically work with Pidgin without any changes.
If a music player needs to be updated to add Pidgin support, then that
needs to be

Hi,
This definitely won't be feasible until after the final 2.0 release
since the API is open to change before then; but even after that
release, libpurple isn't really in a state yet where it can be easily
separated and create the same kind of clean library dependencies that
people expect on a
This isn't necessarily something you would have to do. A
versioned /usr/lib/libpurple that changed with the major version of
libpurple when the API/ABI breaks would be similar to what most other
libraries do, and would make it easier for dependent programs and me.
On Fri, 2007-04-27 at 12:21
Well, my point was that as of now, /usr/lib/libpurple is, for the most
part, unversioned, and libpurple has a version of 0.0.0. The latter is
not really a problem as long as it will get incremented appropriately,
and I'd just have to call the package libpurple0.

I'm not seeing this. If I send myself a URL with an ampersand in it,
both the tooltip and the clickable link show an actual ampersand.

Hola release team,
I'd like to request that gaim 1:2.0.0+beta5-10 from unstable be pushed

Hello,
when using the GIMP in fullscreen mode, I can select image regions, but
the selection is not visible. After switching out of fullscreen the
selection is shown.

Did you have any RVP accounts set up, or did you just have librvp
installed? Also, a backtrace would still be helpful.

With what protocol? Also, please install gaim-dbg and obtain a backtrace

Choosing Modify from the Accounts window causes gaim 2.0.0+beta6-1 to
crash. This works with gaim 2.0.0+beta5-9.

experimental packages use build-dependencies from unstable unless
explicitly specified otherwise. How is this a problem?

Hi,
tried to build gaim from experimental. Didn't work and told me to
install gtk+2.0-dev files which where already
This is mostly because I didn't feel that the libsilc package in Debian
has matured enough to be built with gaim and be a possible blocker for it.
libsilc hasn't been updated to a new upstream version in more than 2
years, even though there have been new releases since then.

I'm going to need more information than this. What about it doesn't
work? Are there any error messages? What happens if you turn on
debugging with gaim -d?

You should be able to disable M3U (and MP3) handling by putting
enable-mp3=0 in your mplayerplug-in.conf, and then removing
~/.mozilla/pluginreg.dat.
Or if you just want to remove M3U support and not MP3, you can put
use-mimetypes=1 in /etc/mplayerplug-in.conf, and remove the m3u line
