APACHE_HOME/conf/httpd.conf directory...(just add it at the end)
Include path/to/tomcat_home/conf/mod_jk.conf-auto

I have created a file called FirstPortlet.java with the
TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/jetspeed/WEB-INF/classes directory. I then compiled
this file and the FirstPortlet.class was generated. I'm slightly unsure of

When I eventually got to the Jetspeed homepage (the monkey jumped off my
back) however I noticed it doesn't quite look like what I have seen from
pther people's experiences. In the middle of the page I have this error
(exception) displaying and I'm not too sure what it means...
Upon viewing these directories I do not have any of crimson.jar, jaxp.jar,
or parser.jar within the /webapps/jetspeed/WEB-INF/lib directory nor any
variation thereof. I did notice that the other file (xerces_1_3_1.jar) is
there and is the correct version.

I'm trying a few suggestions that I received earlier and it was suggested
that I download and install jdk 1.3.0 for a possible problem I'm having.
Does anyone know where I can download jdk 1.3.0 for Linux?? The only
versions I seem to
need the mod_jk piece to help Apache and Tomcat communicate. Do I require
J2EE, JDK, JRE, others?? I'm looking to figure out all the 'tools' that I
