Hi all, is there a way to allow per-user file associations for regular users
of Win2k professional?
Somehow, the default is that regular users cannot manipulate File
associations on their own systems.
We're using AD, so maybe through policies?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi all, due to some breakup in our company we're being forced to break our

If we have two organizations, is there a way to replicate (share) Address

Is it possible to replicate (share) public folders?
What other issues should we consider?
Thanks in advance.

Besides price, it depends on what kind of client you will support and what
features you need.
Go to http://thethin.net/whitepapers/PRESENTATIONS/RDP_vs_ICA.doc
This document is a summary of RDP (Microsoft) and ICA (Citrix) features.
Hector Minero
add the cost of citrix to the cost of solaris ICA and the
cost of implementing, is it much less than the cost of a wyse or NCD winterm
that does x11 and TS ???
Would save having to learn another two pieces of software.
cheers

Sorry for answering so late.
I've been using X-terminals to access Win2K Terminal Servers for 2 years
now.
First, you need to get MetaFrame for Windows 2000 or MetaFrame XP. This
alone will give you ICA connections.
To get X-terminals to connect, you either need the Solaris ICA client or

Hi all, I've got an easy one:
In NT 4.0 when I copied user accounts, the following fields were also
copied:
Decription
Terminal Server Profile
Terminal Services Timeouts
Now in Active Directory, none of these are copied. Is there a way to do it,
automatically?
Since we were getting new hardware for our Domain Controllers, we built a
new backup Domain Controller.
Then we promoted it to PDC and then upgraded to Windows 2000. After being
up for a week and tested that everything
was still okay, we built a brand new Windows 2000 server (no upgrade crap)
