I did more tests, on LPAR, z/VM, with FCP/SCSI, DASD/ECKD and have not
faced this issue a single time (or any udev related issues).
So I would consider the installer "edge/lp-2016860" as fixed and working.
(I used the noble daily from today March 15th as base.)

I'm not sure about the configuration of your raster -- some formats are not
updatable-in-place, but the limitation isn't in gdal_rasterize.

things have improved, especially on DASD/ECKD and FCP/SCSI systems.
Where I'm seeing that now mainly is on DASD/FBA systems, that are a bit
special, anyway attaching the crash file and entire /var/log - just in
case...

when asked. I'm not saying it's nothing to worry about, but neither am I saying

Flash storage is complicated. I doubt there's a huge cache in them, as as it
would be volatile it'd be a big no-no for synchronous writes. The OS could
cache it, of course. And if you're using ZFS then all bets are off. ZFS
guarantees (for POSIX) that a synchronous write goes to non volatile

Currently it is possible to set up TFA for an OpenID user (as root user),
but it is never requested during the login process for that user.
This patch prevents this and displays an error message with the instruction
to set up TFA using the OpenId server.

Had a closer look at the crash file(s), and I'm not sure if the message
that was presented to me during the installation, after the crash is due
to the kind of optimistic approach and probing that is done during
installation ?!

Changing the hint-[direction]-margin in panel-background.svgz does change the
margins on pretty much all widgets (App Launc
VVC's subpictures feature is not yet implemented in the native decoder.
Throw an AVERROR_PATCHWELCOME when trying to decode a bitstream using
the feature. Fixes crashes when trying to decode bitstreams which
use the feature.
