[sane-devel] CanoScan Canon Lide 220 with command line

2017-04-19 Thread csola48
Dear experts!
Dear colleagues!

1) In the terminal command line form the genesys backend works
magnificently with CanoScan Lide 220 scanners.
For example:
scanimage -d genesys --format=tiff -x 210 -y 297 --mode=color
--resolution 300 > test_4.tiff

2) Conversely! The same scanner, the same genesys backend is out of
order it xsane, the simple scan, the skanlite/libskane, the gscan2pdf
with frontends.

Why, why, why?...

What kind of data shall I provide for the analysis?

I say thank you for the answers ahead,

[sane-devel] CanoScan Lide 220 not works

2017-04-14 Thread csola48

Dear everybody! :)

sane-find-scanner gives its chip as GL 847+, GL848+ though the list
says it's a
GL124+.
There is no source file gl848.c as there are for GL124, GL647 etc.

Shall I try it on with an older program (.23, .24, .25!!?)?

[Bug 1666151] Re: *.m4a converting not works...

2017-02-21 Thread csola48
1) A Totem does not recognise it *.m4a file

2) From a file initiating the Totem:
The necessary complement (ALAC) cannot be found!

3) Audacious plays the *.m4a-file, even ALAC, even AAC format.

This looks like a permission problem: the user who executed
sane-find-scanner is not allowed to access the scanner device.

A "quick and dirty" test to verify this is to run sane-find-scanner as
root. For example:

  sudo sane-find-scanner

The udev mechanism controls permissions assigned to devices - use "man
udev" to learn more. For my Epson scanner, I use the configuration file
that follows (change vendor and product codes to match your scanner; lines
that begin with # are comments):

# File: /etc/udev/rules.d/10.local.rules

Upgrade from Launchpad repository rolfbensch/sane-git:

My scanner moved, but prepares a picture like this...
When he is going throughout there is left over is left over and only the
terminal: scanimage -T returns back on orders into a starting situation (?!)

scanimage -V
scanimage (sane-backends) 1.0.26git; backend version 1.0.26

After scanning:
scanimage -L
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).

At the time:
sane-find-scanner

  # sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If the
  # result is different from what you expected, first make sure your
  # scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer.

  # No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure that
  # you have loaded a kernel SCSI driver for your SCSI adapter.

Status in “gtk+2.0” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Source Package: /usr/bin/easymp3gain
  Ubuntu release 11.10
  Package version: easymp3gain-gtk 0.5.0-6

I've used easymp3gain in previous Ubuntu releases, but this was the first
time in Ubuntu 11.10.
It loads normally, but when I choose Add Folder, the Select Destination
window opens, but I can't do anything in it. Neither choose folders, change
discs in the left tree, or even cancel the operation. The Close icon in the
upper right corner doesn't work either.
Only way to get out of it is via Kill Process in System Monitor
The first times, I could open one file with Add File, but now that doesn't
work either.

My hard drives are healthy, and I have no problems in other
  applications.

Title:
  gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, (libgstvideoparsersbad.so), causes a

Status in The GStreamer Multimedia Framework:
  Fix Released
Status in “gstreamer0.10” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
*Adjusted description so as not to show as email to non logged in people
  Most affected files are Baseline@L2.1, Baseline@L1.1 *

Those would be the most likely to fail to be decoded but certainly not
limited to kust them.
These files are commonly found online though many users will have locally.
Also affected other than totem, totem youtube plugin, banshee would be
the mozilla-plugin minitube.
Typically the audio will play with no video though sometimes neither

*Moving libgstvideoparsersbad.so to a .bak allows decoding to take
place on the previously affected files, at least so here*

Attached is a cut small sample file, noting the file plays fine in all non
gstreamer players in all gstreamer players in 11.10 earlier
The file should be playable in totem, banshee firefox with totem-mozilla
plugin installed but only audio is decoded

Title:
Easymp3gain Hangs when clicking Add File or Add Folder

Status in GTK+ GUI Toolkit:
  Fix Released
Status in “easymp3gain” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged
