my use case for chrony is on a device which is connecting for a few seconds
every 12 hours to send data. An initial synchronization time on first boot will
of course take longer, that's ok.
The ppp deamon will set chrony servers online / offline when the link is on/off.

It's nice to know that switching from IMAPS to IMAP + STARTTLS fixes this, but
this might not be possible in all cases: it depends on what the server

no access to sleep/wake D-Bus interface if root session active
seems to fit perfectly.

Some extra information:
i guess the error might come from the fact that the photo has timezone=UTC+1
but with daylight saving time, ie, the photo was actually taken with UTC+2
The relevan exif parameters are:
Exif.NikonWt.TimezoneSShort 1 UTC +01:00

The following illustrates the problem:
$ exiv2 dsd_2180.jpg | grep timestamp
Image timestamp : 2010:08:23 18:39:56
$ exiv2 mv -T dsd_2180.jpg
$ l dsd_2180.jpg
-r 1 ariel users 2332635 Aug 23
udev just reacts to kernel events, it does not generates them.
This is a partially known problem, first try disabling gvfs-gdu-volume
and/or udisks-daemon.
well, very similar problem here, but the workaround shows you that somebody
must be generating spurious events. Probably multipath but
I just wanted to confirm that the issue is solved as of
libboost-test1.42-dev version 1.42.0-3
