VNC clipboard Unicode support

2021-10-25 Thread Nyla Khalil
I have TigerVNC Server v1.11.90 Beta
(https://github.com/TigerVNC/tigervnc/releases/tag/v1.11.90) and
Guacamole 1.3.0 running on my Linux system. I need to copy paste
non-Latin characters.

TigerVNC client and Guacamole SSH connection handle Unicode characters
correctly. If I use Guacamole VNC connection with Clipboard Encoding
set to UTF-8, copy pasting Unicode characters results in
transformation issues (possibly UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1). I think this is
due to Guacamole's LibVNC library usage
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GUACAMOLE-1043). Is there a way
to fix this?

LibVNC/libvncserver 1.0.0 release will add support for UTF-8 clipboard
(https://github.com/LibVNC/libvncserver/pull/468). If I build
Guacamole with the LibVNC UTF-8 changes, will it automagically work or
is there some integration needed on the Guacamole side?

Guacamole Docs:
"As most VNC servers will not accept data in any other format,
Guacamole will translate between UTF-8 and ISO 8859-1 when exchanging
clipboard data with the VNC server, but this behavior can be
overridden with the clipboard-encoding parameter."

Examples:
"£" pasted in TigerVNC client correctly pastes as "£"
"£" pasted in Guacamole VNC connection via sidebar menu incorrectly
pastes as "£"
"£" pasted in Guacamole SSH connection via sidebar menu correctly pastes as "£"

Guacd Log shows UTF-8 Usage:
guacd[6252]: DEBUG: Client is using protocol version "VERSION_1_3_0"
guacd[6252]: INFO: Using non-standard VNC clipboard encoding: 'UTF-8'.

TigerVNC log shows UTF-8 Usage:

Selection: Grabbed PRIMARY selection
Selection: Grabbed CLIPBOARD selection
Selection: Selection request for CLIPBOARD (type TARGETS)

[Declude.JunkMail] CR Vulnerability Panic

My small school mail server is receiving a TON of email with this

I've received well over 2,000 messages since 8am this morning. It is
all coming to postmaster which I monitor. What can I do, what should I
check, what's going on? The IP address is the same and the from is the
same. I am at home just watching these messages come through to my
Outlook account. Help! I'm still new with this!

RE: [Declude.JunkMail] CR Vulnerability Panic

2002-12-22 Thread Nyla Wiebe
Thanks Scott, I won't get into school until tomorrow. I have set my
Outlook (here at home) to send these little beasts directly to delete. I
think I have that vulnerability thing set up in the sender.eml - but
will check. Maybe I have something messed up.

message:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Given the [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the fact that this is a
vulnerability, I would guess this is spam.

I've received well over 2,000 messages since 8am this morning. It is

Vulnerabilities are in most cases not viruses, but actual E-mail that
happens to contain a vulnerability.

In this case, I would recommend opening one of the E-mail from the
\IMail\spool\virus directory, to see what it says.

It's also possible this is a mail loop -- in that case, I would
recommend
making sure that you have a line SKIPIFVIRUSNAMEHAS Vulnerability to
the
top of the \IMail\Declude\sender.eml file (without any blank lines after

it; the SKIPIFVIRUSNAMEHAS, To:, From:, and Subject: lines need to be
before the first blank line). That will prevent the possibility of a
mail
loop, and is highly recommended anyways (as most people sending out
vulnerabilities are spammers, in which case the notification would go to
an
innocent victim).

[Declude.Virus] MISSING_REVERSE_DNS:setting up DECLUDE

2001-12-07 Thread Nyla Wiebe

Scott,

I have Declude working except for one problem.

If I send a message via the IMail web messaging way with an infected
attachment from my school account to an outside account it goes through -
declude doesn't catch it.

I have several email identities so I have been sending email's back and
forth trying to see what happens.

If I send an email with virus attachment from another account to my school
account declude catches it.

Is that enough information for you to give me a hint about some setting I
obviously have incorrect?? Declude is not catching infected attachments that
go out using IMail web messaging.

Attached is the virus.cfg file if that is useful.
