We just have 1 server and no server group.

Ground up rewrites have new issues and new performance characteristics.

I have seen this as well … It appears the installer doesn’t use the hosts
entry. It does a direct DNS check for the server name so if you can’t do an
nslookup {serverName} you get the invalid server name error.

I had our Unix admin's install Java 7u80 on our server and get the following
Java version using 'java -version'
java version 1.7.0_80
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_80-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 24.80-b11, mixed mode)
I've tried setting the Java_Home variable to

Resolved (partially).
Thanks to some help from Ganesh Gore and Jason Miller I was able to identify a
workaround.
Part of the data I was receiving from the web form was some information related
to the attachment, specifically:
1) FileContentType - which tells me the type of file it is

Those Mazda Rotary engines are silly fast!
Then there is the Rotary Rocket
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotary_Rocket; which I made some parts for
in my past life as a welder (1 or 2 years before I met Remedy). Bummer it
was too hairy to move by Chinook or it would be in a small museum about 40
Glad you got it partially working.
The only thing I could think of to make the Push work would be to have done the
following
Create a new “Display Only” Attachment on the view form
Before the Push do a Set Fields action from the actual attachment to the D/O
Attachment
Use the D/O
It's o1 sorry, mistyped that.

Fred - thanks for the help. I was too focused on trying to get the Java path
and Xmanager window to work that I forgot to even check the Java version our
Unix admins have installed on the server. Looks like the server I'm working on
has Java 1.6.0_26 and some of our others still have 1.5.x

We are on 8.1sp2 and I exported our overlaid HPD:Help Desk form with overlays
