Yes, I'm using 7.6.04 user tool against 9.0.01 server but still its not
working. Confirmed the macro is in actlink_macro table.
I will try to replace the macro functionality with native Remedy code, as
suggested.

You can update the port in the tomcat config tool. Set it to port 80
instead of 8080. Port 80 is the default port for HTTP.

I was curious if anyone out there has attempted an install of version 9 in
the AWS EC2 environment? We are currently building a proof of concept
installation using ARS 9.x, ITSM 9 and SSO. The developer who is working

Confirmed you don't need the Oracle Client. I used Misi's document to
build a VM of 9.0 and skipped the whole Oracle Client section.

When I am running the remedy 9 installer on the new vm and selected the
upgrade option, it says /opt/ar/ar.conf is missing.
Any idea on this please?
Do I have to select Install instead of Upgrade?
