Re: [art] Art page with the new logo
Hi Alexandro, You have a good point here, but in my opinion I think we should wait until the branding guidelines are completed before we officially release the logo for other purposes than the website and the product itself. Regards, Ismaël Grammenidis 2010/7/5 Alexandro Colorado Some time ago, the wiki had some of the new logos set in place however the marketing.openoffice.org/art still show the old logos, should we update this? and try to create the new modifications for the logos?? Re: [art] Art page with the new logo
If there is an upcoming event very soon and you already want to use the new logo in marketing material, then you should use the logo that respects the guidelines draft. But be extra strict so you will not encounter any problems in the future when certain things changes. Like not rotating the logo, use a white background, respect minimum whitespace etc. If you respect these guidelines, I don't think anything can go wrong. If you are unsure, place a sample of your material on the wiki and put a link in this thread. That way some of us can have a look at it and see if it complies with all the points that we already discussed until now. You can find a link to the eps-type of the logo somewhere on the mailinglists, just watch out when downloading the image. The colour might be slightly changed. Make sure that the black and blue have the correct colour values. Regards, Ismaël Grammenidis

Hi Alexandro, all Alexandro Colorado schrieb: so we should still use the old logo for all marketing-related events? If you want to be on the secure side, you will need to ask for allowance for every usage of the new logo until the trademark policy has been released. Our not yet finished branding guideline shows how we want the logo to be presented, but allowance to do so can only be granted by the trademark owner of the image mark. I'll forward this mail to the branding and trademark teams, but I don't know if we can speed up these processes at all...
