Thank you Thomas! You´re doing a great job!
Maybe you will find some minutes to have a look on the e-mail
interface. Since some weeks (I do not know the last working version
right now), I am no longer able to forward reports to Report Ham
address AND the original recipient with one mail. I
Hi all,
fixed in assp 2.1.2 build 12129:
- the HMM check was disabled in build 12126
- a timing problem caused in some situations that the accept of a SMTP
connection failed with an error like:
'. bad file descriptor' - this should be no longer the case - or
better 'in very rare cases'
Michael,
do I understand it right ? You as an admin, reported a mail as notspam to
assp and the original recipient got a copy of this mail from assp (or a
copy of the report ?) ?
I don't know why it was working this way - but the V2 code was not and is
not designed to work this way.
Is'nt
No, I try to explain it more clearly:
I am the admin and ASSP sends me a copy of all SPAM-messages. In case
there is a false positive
I forward this mail to EmailHam-Address AND to the original recipient.
After that I get the analyze report as expected, but the original
recipient does not
Maybe still another little bug.
In 12126 I had:
Hidden-Markov-Model Spam Probability: combined HMM spam probability:
got no result
Now in 12129 I get:
combined HMM spam probability: got no result because the HMM database
is empty
There´s no hmm* table in the mysql database or the tmpDB
Hi Michael
Have you run rebuildspamdb since upgrading so that the new table is created?
All the best,
Colin.

Yes, I did - of course :-)

Hello
with IO::Socket::SSL module version 1.70 ASSP fails with this error
invalid SSL_version specified at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/IO/Socket/SSL.pm line 308
Using 1.9.6.9(0.0.04)
I tried disabling TLS (enableSSL=0) but ASSP refuses to start .
Graziano
to fix the issue I installed IO::Socket:SSL 1.68 from the source
Now if I start ASSP in daemon mode I receive
May-08-12 11:52:48 IO::Socket::SSL module version 1.70 installed;
and ASSP crashes
If I start ASSP in console mode I receive
May-08-12 11:52:48 IO::Socket::SSL module version 1.68
For HMM to be used by assp you need:
- to install BerkeleyDB.pm on windows or BerkeleyDB engine and
BerkeleyDB.pm on nix
- spamdb must be setup to use a database 'DB:'
- 'DoHMM' must be enabled
- 'useDB4Rebuild' must be set to on
This could be read in the GUI!
The rebuild log will contain:
I am sure, that forwarded messages to ASSP and the recipient have
worked in former versions.
I forward this mail to EmailHam-Address AND to the original recipient.
The org. recipient is in to/cc or bcc ?
The request is sent directly to assp via SMTP - or is the request sent to
a MTA which sent
