Hi Paulo,
Make sure your DID number is in the e.164 format, ie, +15551234567. I had
the same issue with bandwidth.com and that fixed the problem.
HTH,
Zaheer

Would it be possible to install FreePBX on an AsteriskNOW system? The one
thing I really like about AsteriskNOW is the reduced attack surface b/c it
is running on an rpath appliance. Are there any appliances out there that
combine asterisk with freepbx?

Hi Joe,
In your SIP.conf, under [general] try setting externip=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX to
your public IP address.
Hope this helps,
Zaheer

Hey does anyone have any suggestions for this? Is this an asterisk issue or
a phone issue? Thanks!

Hi all,
I'm not getting any sidetone on my Snom 370. I searched the web and the snom
wiki, but I don't see any place to enable/adjust it. Callers say I sound
great on the other end, but I don't hear myself so it is a little
off-putting. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
On a related note,

No I scanned the private IP of the server, so it has to be from inside the
network.
If * is listening on 5060, why doesn't it have LISTEN next to it? Is that
shown only for TCP connections?

Hi all,
I have *NOW beta 6 (asterisk 1.4.5) and I've configured it with a SIP trunk
line. I can make outgoing calls, but I cannot receive any incoming calls. A
port scan of my * server shows that port 5060 is closed. How do I open this
port? In my users.conf, I have set [trunk_1] to hassip=yes

Hi All,
I'm running asterisk 1.4.5 (on AsteriskNOW beta 6 appliance) and using Snom

cannot hear them. I also cannot receive incoming calls to my DID
A friend directed me to the NAT support option in the advanced menu. Setting
the external IP to my public IP address solved the issue.

Hi all,
We're running AsteriskNOW Beta 6, and port 5060 is closed. We've checked it
with a port scanner and the port is definitely closed. How do we open that
port, either through the GUI or CLI. Is there any way to access the linux
command line through AsteriskNOW?
Thanks in advance!
