Your volume retention on the volumes above is 2,592,000 seconds which translates to 30 days ( I believe ) so bacula is working as it should. Now to fix your problem. Remember that the .conf file defines how to make new volumes and does not define what happens to current volumes. So if you make

It could be the drive and it could be the connection to the drive. Swap out the cable first - it's easiest, cheapest, and most prone to having a bad connection. Test. Bacula uses standard device commands. You should use the mt and mtx commands directly - you are more likely to get more
