Shelf plugin causes rogue Bookmarks in MS Word

I've discovered that when I have the Shelf plugin loaded, even if I don't use it, then every time I take a "Copy" action in Microsoft Word, two new Word Bookmarks are created on the copied document items, named OLE_LINK#. (# is a number that increments.) This makes a mess of my MS Word
