I listened in but we were having a bad TS (lotsa lightning) about that time so
I did not check-in. TS was heading for SW Houston.

Can anyone comment? Did the Rag Chew Net happen last evening?
I was listening on the Waller web SDR, (and a few other regional web SDRs)
but heard nothing during the typical net time. In fact, the Waller SDR
seemed a bit deaf.

*Some interesting questions came to mind for you antenna experts out there:

*If you're trying to take the SWR minimum to a lower frequency, is it
better to lengthen the antenna, or add more inductance? My whips were full
out, so I tapped off two more coil turns to drop the SWR minimum 160 kHz
I would be inclined to lengthen my antenna and try to raise it higher off
the ground, if that was feasible under the given circumstances. I
generally find more reasonace (and lower SWR)
happens with lower inductance and higher capacitance in the antenna
circuit. This assumes you are using a
Rick,
I don't understand the chart. Is it the shaded area that encompasses each
of the propagation types? If so, why doesn't the skyway extend to at least
28 Mhz?

Rick,
All of your images came through, however they were not stacked as I think
you were trying to do. In stead they were all lined up. So the red line
representing 3910 is actually at the end of the text, followed by a red
arrow pointing at the text followed on the next line by a red oval which
