I tried what you said. The permission denied doesn't appear anymore, just the other messages. sudo apt-get install cairo-dock says I already have the latest version installed. I've included an updated file of the command cairo-dock and I'm also gonna add one for cairo-dock -v. I appreciate

This error is strange : dpkg - warning: while removing cairo-dock-plug- ins-data, directory `/usr/share/cairo-dock' not empty so not removed. After having purged, remove this folder with : $ sudo rm -r /usr/share/cairo-dock/ After that, try to install cairo-dock and post the output here. --
