I tried what you said.
The permission denied doesn't appear anymore, just the other messages.
sudo apt-get install cairo-dock says I already have the latest version
installed.
I've included an updated file of the command cairo-dock and I'm also
gonna add one for cairo-dock -v.

Ok, maybe something wrong with downloaded files. Can you try :
$ sudo apt-get purge cairo-dock*
$ sudo rm -r /usr/share/cairo-dock/
$ sudo rm -r /usr/lib/cairo-dock/
$ sudo apt-get clean
$ sudo apt-get install cairo-dock

This error is strange : dpkg - warning: while removing cairo-dock-plug-
ins-data, directory `/usr/share/cairo-dock' not empty so not removed.
After having purged, remove this folder with :
$ sudo rm -r /usr/share/cairo-dock/
After that, try to install cairo-dock and post the output here.

Switched to drivers 190.53 and, for your information, the vanishing icon

Ok, so I removed the weekly unstable PPA line, and Cairo-Dock works
(2.1.3-6).
I don't know if you guys want me to continue on to see if the Weekly PPA
with an Intrepid or Hardy version will work on my system.
