Hi
I don't have a photo of him howling but trust me it is a hoot!
He throws his head up in the air and is so serious about it.

Hey Kellie welcome to the group.
For Brutus, we are crate training him. So everytime he wakes up from a nap
or eat or every hour we take him to the pad or outside. We say, potty and
when he does do the business have a treat read for him. Be consistent and
vigilant! Brutus caught on really

My husband is 83 (I am 60), we are dealing with a lot of his health issues, and
have been for the last 4 years. There have been times when things have been
pretty bad, like when they ask you to leave the room in the ER as they bring in
the cart with paddles. Our social life is pretty much

Hello Everyone,
I am in desperate need of some advice and suggestions. I have a 2
and 3 year old female Chihuahua and they are the love of my life.
The problem is that I also rescued a 7 year old Papillon. She had a
very hard life before I took her in. She is so very sweet, but my

Show your chis you are the alpha and that YOU accept her in YOUR clanthey
would have to accept her eventually. Always keep an eye on them and crate them
when you cant so you can correct their behavior everytime it occur.

Hi everyone - This afternoon I went a Dog Show. I'm not into the dog show

asked for information on Chi's, I was just given the show
A little bit OT of what you were talking. Iam in OZ for a couple of

Western Australia, I rarely see Chihuahuas ( I saw 1 in a month). Is
it a popular breed here? I see a lot of little dogs like Maltese, some

Hello Ric,
I read your story and I would like to know if it was difficult for you
to convince your dogs to accept each other. Why? I have a female

How sweet!!
Rein only howls like you described when someone comes in the front door and
she's back in the bedroom and can't see who's coming. She does the normal
barking and each stream of barks is concluded with her raising her head back
and giving a short howl. It's cute! We
Welcome Kellie! Charlie is a real cutie!! I'm not sure if the way we trained
our bigger dogs to let us know they had to go out would be the same for chis or
not, so I'll let others experienced with this answer. My little Rein (9 month
old long coat chi) is p-pad trained in the house, so I
Yes it is so hard especially if you are used to training dogs that are
competely trained in a couple of weeks. Before I had Chis that is the
way it was. When Robin came he marked his territory and had accidents
and also if I was at work sometimes he couldnt wait but I accepted
that. With
