Shanna- I agree with you whole heartedly. Not all of us rescued our pups.
It doesn't make us bad people. I bought mine at a pet store. I didn't know
where to find a chi in Rural Idaho. I wanted a puppy that could be raised
with my kids. Not all rescues are suitable for family life. I still

I heard a great song from Jimmy Dean yesterday called the Christmas Room.
It basically said he wanted to have a room decorated like Christmas year
round so he could remember the feeling at Christmas. Holly Noel will be

Yeah Jack! You all did great! So relieved to hear all is well. Bet in a
little bit with some work you will be more social. We had unexpected house
guest for the week. Frida thought it was a party for her. All our guests
kept saying, I can't believe she is a chihuahua. I don't like chi's.
I would be more inclined to Las Vegas. I can get cheap tickets from Idaho
Falls. Plus the husband is a poker addict. He would go for anything in
Vegas.

Frida is a Diva. She wants to be mistaken for one of Paris or Brittany's
entourage. We love staying on the strip. I'm going for me, the hubby and
Frida. I like staying on the strip. I think we should tell them we are a
delegation of celebrity dog trainers specializing in chis. Frida loves

Ricky is doing so well. I can't help but think he is going to settle in and
learn the world is a wonderful place at your house. We've had company all
week. Frida thinks it is all for her. She has hammed it up snuggling and
strutting around for our guests. It has been fun to see her reaction
of pictures so have fun looking at them and

Shanna- I think our animals know a good thing when they see it. I am
completely in awe of the animal communication. Ricky saw his chance and
took it! Smart doggie. He knew his life depended on you and behaved
accordingly. Although I think this has all been a plot to have his picture

1. enroll in obedience training with someone who knows something about
small dogs- preferably chi's. My trainer has 2 chi's qualified in therapy.
2. Be patient and consistent. I like the leash training. Chi's need good

Brea- I am a Social Worker- I don't work with kids so no parents. I work
in hospice and get yelled at less than I used to. When I worked at the
hospital it was a regular occurrence. Mostly, I listen to complaints and
crying but not too much yelling. I hate getting yelled at. My children yell

I cannot imagine such a cool company. Our health insurance at work is
pretty poor. With so many Americans without insurance it is really
inspiring to see corporate structures support all sorts of families even

In terms of names- my brother in law has a cat named Miles after Miles
Davis. We had a Dalmatian named Ramses after the

Social Worker too. I would encouraged you to make the dogs a place to
escape or have quiet time. Maybe ask a special guest to be the dog
handler. I have a great grandma who is a chi lover. She sits with Frida
if we
