How did your poodle die from the luxating patella? MY Pita had surgery on
her knee and recovered quite well from it. She would run and jump and
everything. She actually had one pin that migrated and had to be removed but
other than that she was fine. She hurt her back and required surgery, but
Pita used to get in the shower with me. That is how she was bathed. She loved
it too. Now she is unable to stand on the slippery surface without doing a
split. I now give her a bath in the sink :-( -- em

Check online for various nontoxic alternatives to flea control. If she is
not eating well, give her some nutrical to stimulate the appetite. Good
luck, I was a bit stumped on this one :-) -- em

I know. I told my husband I could have had several champion chis for that
price. I guess you can't put a $$$ amount on love. But she is running
around and doing much better. I just won't be doing any extras for a while

I beg to differ. Unless the dog has mylomalacia (sp?) there are plenty of
things that can be done. Being put down or surgery are NOT the only
options. Visit www.dodgerslist.com http://www.dodgerslist.com/ it is
truly amazing what our little guys can do. My Pita has gone from totally

Well
Long backed dogs are more prone as there is a portion of their back that is
not supported by ribs or pelvis. IVDD is also a disease in dogs that makes
them predisposed to back injury. -- em :-)

Buster, you need to know what you are talking about before posting. An MRI
will identify if a ruptured or bulging disc is compressing the spinal cord
causing the paralysis. That is the best procedure to do. --em
