Went out to the boat yesterday and used all the dock lines I own to add extra spring lines on both sides (including across the empty slip next to me) and took the sails off and stowed them below. Probably was overkill as we now are not expecting to see anything over 45 kts or as the center of the

Getting 30-40 knot winds right now in New London and that is supposed to continue for a while and increase. We are in the worst of the outer wind band. Unfortunately, the harbor faces south which is the prevailing wind direction, so I suspect we are getting serious waves in the mooring field.

I'm 2.5 hours from my boat but the storm followed the predictions here in New Jersey and our power blinked three times but stayed on. The rain was super heavy and wind was at least 60mph at times. Two small Oak trees broke about twenty feet up and branches fell onto the neighbors fence.

On the other side of the Bay from Reedville (and just South of Joe), St. Michaels fared rather well. The eye went right over us and eight inches of rain flooded the boat yard and low lying places, and the wind blew big time. Branches down, etc. But it came near low tide which helped a bunch.
