I installed two #6 aluminum (tall skinny) tanks on our 30 mk1’s pushpit rails using the rail mount assembly from Sure Marine in Seattle. They sold us the tanks, rail mounts, regulator, gauge, solenoid, solenoid switch, everything except the hoses. One of the brackets has the regulator, gauge,

As part of my OVNI 435 refit I purchased a new force 10 stove and retrofitted from camping gaz to propane. (Cooked my first meal last night - sweltering on the hard in curacao). If you study force 10’s home page (or manual) you should be able to find the 10 or so ‘standard’ sizes. (If there

Joe, Fisheries Supply carries the 1.4 gal tall thin tanks, and the fancy mount. I just finished converting my Sabre to propane. One thing is, only one connection inside the boat at the stove. I mounted the regulator and solenoid valve under a stern pulpit seat. Teed in a hose to the grill also. On

One other comment about CNG Ours has two regulators and then the solenoid valve. In 2021 we noted that leaving the tank valve opened for any amount of time allowed the tank to empty. This was very concerning. We replaced the first cut regulator (that steps down from 3000psi to about 100+),

Joe, I feel your pain!: My insurance Co. (BoatUS-Geico) made me remove my CNG tank because it wasn't in a dedicated locker...we don't cook onboard much so it wasn't a big deal, but I wasn't happy about it; the regs allow a CNG tank under 100 cubic feet;  you will be better off with propane;

Missed the part about the cert – I got the local dive shop to send mine off for hydro. It came back and now it LEAKS around the valve. Drain gas, reseal valve, fill it again, and it still leaks ☹ I am a lot more annoyed with the wasted time back and forth than the $4 worth of wasted gas. The

I have no propane locker. I am probably going to strap a tank on the stern rail. I need to find those little tall and thin aluminum tanks. No way am I going around with a 20 pound steel grill tank hanging off there, that is too low budget even for me! I may actually try a little torch tank and
