When pressing in a new lip seal there are a couple of things to look for.
first make sure the seal is orientated correctly, the open side (side with
spring) should face the liquid
second I use a socket that covers the seal completely, I invert the socket
and then insert an extension and

Josh, I used to work in a machine shop where I had to remove gears off of
shafts. We used an acetylene torch to heat the gear fast, so the shaft didn't
expand as fast. Using a slow heat source will heat the coupling and shaft at
about the same rate. You want to expand the coupling faster than
Tom, The lift pump arm usually rides on a lobe on the camshaft, which above the
crankshaft, which is well above the oil level. A mechanical lift pump is fairly

Bill,It is very likely that your camshaft, and injector pump are gear driven.
The 2 yanmars I've had were gear driven. Gear drives for the camshaft are much

Check your exhaust hose. I had the same unidentified klunk. Turned out it was
