to add more detail to your map conversion instructions? I
have tried several times to do a conversion for portions of the USA without
success.
I believe the problems I've had relate to the difference between .osm and
administrative.osm files.

understanding of the bootloader is that it
passes the system startup to the kernel, and goes home for beer. It seems
that it still has a job to do after the kernel starts...what is it doing? I
only ever remember grub being involved in a suspend situation when I was
using suspend to disk.

Since then I have re-flashed my Freerunner and I can't see to get Navit
to display the maps. Navit starts up with no problem and I can see that
it has a fix, but the screen is just yellow -- no maps is displayed. No
errors, but no map.
One way to test the binfile is to start searching for
** (process:1483): DEBUG: Adding signals.
** CRITICAL **: dbus_g_proxy_add_signal: assertion `DBUS_IS_G_PROXY (proxy)'
failed
aborting.

/etc/init.d/frameworkd seems to start OK, but I can't find it in the
processes.

Install older image. It was said many times, that this one is broken.
I follow the lists pretty closely, and I didn't catch that message. Can you

I just found out that there is a buzz fix here in the US. I'm sending my FR

to fdisk the card with
2 linux partitions (83), then format one with FAT and one with ext3. I
fdisked the fat partition with vfat (0b) and formatted with vfat, could that
be the problem?
