I've enabled a couple of plugins, and this seems to have consistently
broken compiz. It no longer draws any windows except the bottom most
one of the stack. I can still interact with the focused window, it's
just totally invisible. Not even its decoration shows.

Revisiting this fix today... I discovered a similar (but different) slow
down when I switched to Intel graphics this week. So I'm updating the
fix for this bug to also address the framerate problem I found on Intel,
which really affects all graphics chips.

hm, I have found another application with visibility issues with the new patch.
Rainlendar (a desktop calendar software, rainlendar.net) now has an invisible
(or weird ghost like the network applet) main window, rendering it unusable.
I think this patch has some unintended consequences.

bar); transparent ghost windows and some unresponsiveness to clicking

- 64 bit natty
- nVidia Driver ver: 270.41.06

I don't notice any differances. Moving wobbly windows (and so on .. )
